I’m a qualified Art teacher and Artist.

I’ve been teaching and facilitating creative learning for more than twenty years. I have taught Visual Art in many places and settings:

  • Primary Curriculum, DES, Ireland.

  • The Steiner School, Dublin

  • Reggio Emilia School, San Francisco.

Artist Christa Rijnfeld honours her local fauna of BC, Canada through her work. We are going to put a twist on it and celebrate our beautiful wild animals of Ireland in our mixed media landscape pieces.

Today we started work on designs for Winter Lanterns. Mary Blair is our artist in focus for this project. She was a Disney illustrator and created some of the old classic movies during the 50s, like Cinderella and Alice in Wonderland. She became a Di
Bi-lateral painting…. Using both hands at the same time. Engages with both sides of the brain and extends and strengthens neural pathways. This approach to process art also supports focus and calm.

Flyers for newcomers…
My senior group happened to see what the juniors were doing last week and so they begged me for a chance to make their own fake ice cream… and so we did!!! What a mess, a sensory satisfactory slush of paint, pva and shaving foam!!!
Today we worked on some painting skills and created some Summer meadows.
Group murals, collaborative design. Well done everyone on fantastic teamwork.
